Cynthia J. Cole (she/her) urrently a partner in the IP and Tech Transactions practice of Baker McKenzie, Cynthia is an accomplished intellectual property and technology transactions attorney. She is sought after for her depth of experience in complex cross-border, IP, and data-driven transactions, negotiating bespoke agreements in novel technology fields. Cynthia works with companies across a wide variety of industries including AI, software and SaaS, semiconductor, social media, energy, manufacturing, retail, healthcare and life sciences.
She serves as outside general counsel to a number of executive teams and boards of directors, as well as advising on AI, data, privacy and security issues in M&A and private equity investments, Cynthia understands the issues involved in balancing innovation and regulation, and manages strategy and compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). She is certified as an Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

She was also honored as one of the "Top Cyber Lawyers in California" by the Daily Journal in 2022 and recognized as a 2020 Women of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal for her community engagement and industry leadership.
